Riftbound: League of Legends TCG
Riftbound card scanner and card value checker
TCG Vault scans Riftbound cards on iPhone and tells you what they are worth. Point the camera at a card and TCG Vault reads its collector number, matches the artwork and shows the market price of that version, refreshed daily and in your own currency.
Riot has no official Riftbound app, and the value is in the versions: alt arts, overnumbered cards and signed Showcase cards. Below: what the scanner reads, the most valuable Riftbound cards right now, and the other scanner apps.

How to check a Riftbound card’s value with your iPhone
-
Step 1
Pick Riftbound and point the camera
Choose Riftbound in the game menu at the top of the scanner and hold the card flat inside the frame.
-
Step 2
TCG Vault reads the card
On-device text recognition reads the print line in the bottom-left corner, such as OGN • 066/298, including the letter or star a variant adds, and TCG Vault matches the artwork to find the exact version.
-
Step 3
See the price, save the card
The market price, refreshed daily and shown in your own currency, appears with the card. Add it to a collection and the collection’s total value updates.
On each card you see its name, set, collector number, rarity and market price. Premium adds 1-, 3- and 6-month price history, more than one collection and a direct link to the card on the marketplace. Auto mode keeps scanning as you swap cards and flags duplicates, which helps with a stack of new pulls.
What to check on a Riftbound card
-
01
The print line is bottom left
It reads set code • number / set size, as in OGN • 066/298. The sets so far: OGN Origins, OGS Proving Grounds, SFD Spiritforged, UNL Unleashed and VEN Vendetta.
-
02
One character marks the expensive versions
An alt art adds an “a” (066a/298), an overnumbered card goes above the set size (227/221) and a signature version adds a star (227*/221). Keep that corner sharp: the difference in price can be thousands of dollars.
-
03
Commons and uncommons come foil and non-foil
They share a number, and foils sell for more. Every Rare and Epic is foil. If your common is foil, choose the foil price on the card screen.
-
04
Promos say so
Promo cards repeat a base card with a “PROMO” banner over the rarity gem, and prize cards from organized play are among the most valuable Riftbound cards. TCG Vault lists them separately from the set versions.
TCG Vault and other Riftbound scanner apps
There is no official Riftbound scanner, and most of the apps are Riftbound only. TCG Vault prices each Riftbound version next to the rest of your collection.
Why collectors use TCG Vault for Riftbound
- Riftbound and eleven other games in one app, so a mixed collection doesn’t need a scanner per game.
- Market prices refreshed daily and shown in your own currency (30+ currencies), with the Cardmarket price next to the TCGplayer one wherever Cardmarket lists the card.
- A running total of what your collection is worth, with 1-, 3- and 6-month price history on Premium.
- Auto mode for stacks: keep swapping cards and it keeps scanning, flagging the duplicates.

When another app fits better
- RiftScan fits better if you play Riftbound and want a deck tool next to the scanner.
- Rare Candy fits better if you want free unlimited scanning and plan to trade on Rare Candy’s marketplace.
- HoloDex fits better if you also collect Dragon Ball Super, which TCG Vault does not cover.
Riftbound card scanner FAQ
What is the best Riftbound card scanner app?
For prices and collection value, TCG Vault: it reads the print line, matches the artwork to find the alt art, overnumbered or signature version and shows its market price in your currency. Rare Candy suits you if you want free unlimited scanning; RiftScan if you mainly build decks.
Is there an official Riftbound app?
Not for scanning. Riot publishes the card gallery on the official site and offers card data to developers, but there is no official Riftbound app with a scanner. The apps that scan Riftbound are third-party, TCG Vault among them.
How do I check what my Riftbound cards are worth?
Find the exact version from the print line: the number, plus an “a” for an alt art, a number above the set size for an overnumbered card or a star for a signature. TCG Vault reads it and shows that version’s market price.

Rare Candy scans Riftbound for free. TCG Vault is free to download with 3 scans a day; unlimited scanning is part of its Premium subscription.
