How to check a Grand Archive card’s value with your iPhone

  1. Step 1

Pick Grand Archive and point the camera

Choose Grand Archive in the game menu at the top of the scanner and hold the card flat inside the frame.

  2. Step 2

    TCG Vault reads the card

On-device text recognition reads the card’s printed text, including the footer in the bottom-left corner (such as DOA 1st • EN-010 C), and TCG Vault matches the artwork to pick the printing.

  3. Step 3

See the price, save the card

The market price, refreshed daily and shown in your own currency, appears with the card. Add it to a collection and the collection’s total value updates.

On each card you see its name, set, collector number, rarity and market price. Premium adds 1-, 3- and 6-month price history, more than one collection and a direct link to the card on the marketplace. Auto mode keeps scanning as you swap cards and flags duplicates, which helps with a stack of new pulls.

What to check on a Grand Archive card

  1. 01

The footer carries set, edition, number and rarity

“DOA 1st • EN-010 C” is the set (Dawn of Ashes), the edition, the language and number, and the rarity letter. Unlimited printings have no edition word.

  2. 02

1st Edition and Alter look alike

Dawn of Ashes was printed as 1st Edition and as Alter Edition with the same numbers and usually the same art; only the word in the footer differs, and so does the price.

  3. 03

Collector rares reuse the base number

CSR and CUR cards keep the number of the base card (EN-010 C and EN-010 CUR), add an overframe art and a signature stamp, and are the most valuable Grand Archive cards. Some CSRs add a letter (004A, 004B).

  4. 04

Foils are a separate print run

Foil and non-foil copies share the number and sell at very different prices. TCG Vault’s Grand Archive catalog covers the cards sold on TCGplayer.

TCG Vault and other Grand Archive scanner apps

Grand Archive has an official card database but no scanner, and no app is built around it. TCG Vault scans Grand Archive cards, collector rares included, and shows what each is worth next to your other games.

Why collectors use TCG Vault for Grand Archive

  • Grand Archive and eleven other games in one app, so a mixed collection doesn’t need a scanner per game.
  • Market prices refreshed daily and shown in your own currency (30+ currencies), with the Cardmarket price next to the TCGplayer one wherever Cardmarket lists the card.
  • A running total of what your collection is worth, with 1-, 3- and 6-month price history on Premium.
  • Auto mode for stacks: keep swapping cards and it keeps scanning, flagging the duplicates.
