What is Card Value Scanner - TCG Vault?
An iOS app for scanning, identifying, and tracking trading cards across 13+ games, using AI recognition and real-time market data.
Which trading card games are supported?
Pokemon, Magic: The Gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Disney Lorcana, Riftbound (League of Legends), One Piece, Gundam, Dragon Ball Super, Flesh and Blood, Star Wars: Unlimited, Union Arena, Digimon, and more.
Is the app free?
Free to download with basic features. A premium subscription unlocks the AI scanner, price history charts, multiple collections, and marketplace links.
Card Scanning
How does scanning work?
The camera uses OCR to read card text, then AI matches it against the database, displaying name, set, rarity, and market price within seconds.
How accurate is the scanner?
High accuracy for cards in good condition. Lighting, card angle, and image quality all affect results.
What are Auto and Manual scan modes?
Auto mode continuously scans cards as they appear in frame. Manual mode lets you tap to capture one card at a time. Both include duplicate detection.
Are card images stored?
No. OCR runs on-device; only the extracted text is sent to our servers for card identification.
The scanner is not recognizing a card. What should I try?
Try even lighting with no glare or shadows, hold the card flat and fully visible, adjust zoom (1x, 2x, or 3x), use flash in low light, and confirm the correct game is selected.
Collections
How do I create a collection?
Go to the Collections tab, tap "+", name it, and pick a color.
Can I have multiple collections?
One default collection is free; additional collections require a premium subscription.
How do I add cards to a collection?
Via the card detail screen or directly after scanning — select the collection and set quantity.
How is collection value calculated?
Each card's current market price multiplied by quantity, summed together, using live TCGPlayer data.
Prices & Market Data
Where do prices come from?
Sourced from TCGPlayer and updated regularly.
How often do prices update?
Automatically synced; data reflects the most recently available marketplace information.
Is local currency supported?
Yes — 30+ currencies (USD, EUR, GBP, JPY, CAD, AUD, TRY, and more), changeable in Settings.
What are Price History Charts?
Charts showing price trends over 1-month, 3-month, and 6-month periods — a premium feature.
Are prices guaranteed accurate?
No. Prices are for informational purposes only and should not be the sole basis for buying or selling decisions.
Subscription & Billing
What does premium include?
Unlimited AI-powered card scanning, interactive Price History Charts (1M, 3M, 6M), unlimited collections, and direct TCGPlayer marketplace links.
What plans are available?
Weekly and annual; pricing shown in-app. The annual plan offers significant savings.
Is there a free trial?
Yes, for eligible users. It auto-converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Settings app → your name → Subscriptions → Card Value Scanner - TCG Vault → Cancel Subscription. Access continues until the billing period ends.
How do I restore a subscription?
Go to the app's Settings and tap "Restore Purchases."
How does billing work?
Charged to your Apple ID at purchase. Auto-renews unless turned off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
How do I get a refund?
Processed by Apple — visit reportaproblem.apple.com or contact Apple Support.
Privacy & Data
What data is collected?
Device identifiers, usage analytics, collection data, preferences, and subscription info. Camera images are not stored or transmitted.
Can I delete my data?
Yes — email support@appcellent.co to request deletion.
Is an internet connection required?
Yes, for scanning, price updates, and syncing. Previously downloaded card data is available offline.
Troubleshooting
The app crashes on startup. What should I do?
Update the app, restart it, restart your device, check your connection. If unresolved, contact support.
Camera is not working. How do I fix it?
Settings → Card Value Scanner → enable the Camera toggle.
Some prices are missing. Why?
Some cards lack TCGPlayer data. Try pull-to-refresh or check your connection.
I was charged but premium is not unlocked. What do I do?
Restore purchases from app Settings, verify subscription status in Apple ID settings, or contact support.
